SAGE2

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Laboratory for Advanced Visualization and Applications (LAVA) leads a five year $5 million National Science Foundation project called SAGE2, which began in Fall 2013. SAGE2 follows the successful SAGE (Scalable Adaptive Graphics Environment) software system that is used to drive over 100 ultra-high-resolution scalable display walls around the world.   The original SAGE software enabled its users (researchers, engineers, policy makers and artists) to display, organize and manipulate large quantities of data in the form of visualizations to amplify collaborative sense-making. The goal of SAGE2 is to address the future big data integration needs of the rapidly growing SAGE community by taking advantage of emerging computing technologies.
