LAVA at the Advanced Maui Optical and Space Surveillance Technologies Conference

MS student Eric Wu of the Laboratory for Advanced Visualization and Applications demonstrates his asteroid visualization application at the AMOS conference in Maui from Sept 15-18, 2015.

The virtual reality visualization application enables viewers to see a number of asteroids in relation to the scale of Oʻahu and the International Space Station. Also demonstrated was LAVA’s SAGE2 software (Scalable Amplified Group Environment) that was used to visualize data from Karen Meech– astronomer at the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
